Penny Stock - The definition of a Penny Stock in The Security Exchange Act of 1934 is more of a definition by exclusion. It lists a set of criteria where a stock is not considered a Penny Stock, and any stock that cannot satisfy any of those criteria is a Penny Stock.
Slippage - The tendency of price movement to occur when a market particpant’s order cannot be filled at a single price.
Float Shares - The number of shares that trade freely in the open market. These shares do not include “tightly held” shares owned by entities like: corporate officers/directors/employees; large institutional or individual investors; company-owned foundations.
Outstanding Shares - The total number of shares issued by a company.
Spread - The price difference between the current highest Bid vs lowest Offer (Bid vs Ask).
OHLC - Open, High, Low, Close.
